About the Carbon Advisory Coalition
Formally launching October 2026. Here's what we do, what we don't do, and how we make editorial decisions.
Our mission
The carbon credit market is large, technical, and easy to misunderstand — and the people most affected by that confusion are usually the ones with the least access to plain-language explanation: employees asked to evaluate a company's net-zero claim, students researching climate policy, small businesses weighing whether to buy credits, journalists on deadline.
The Carbon Advisory Coalition exists to close that gap. We publish free, source-linked education on carbon solutions, carbon credits, and the ecosystem of registries and rating agencies that certify and grade them — without selling credits, brokering deals, or accepting sponsorship to feature an organization.

How "Org of the Month" works
Each month we choose one organization working in carbon solutions, carbon credits, or carbon measurement to feature in depth. Selection is an editorial decision made by our team, based on transparency, third-party verification, and the strength of publicly available documentation — not payment, sponsorship, or advertising.
We look for
Independently verified carbon claims, transparent methodology, and real-world, checkable outcomes.
We disclose
Any relationship, sponsorship, or event partnership connected to a featured organization is stated plainly on the feature page.
We don't rank
Being featured is not an endorsement of every claim an organization makes, and non-featured organizations are not implicitly lesser.
October 2026: Carboreal
Our October 2026 Org of the Month, Carboreal, is connected to the Carbon Advisory Coalition through the Environmental Xperience at EarthX conference series — the same event series hosting the 2nd Annual Carbon Conference on the Carboreal Carbon Stage in April 2027, which this site also promotes. We're disclosing that connection here in the interest of transparency; the feature itself was written from Carboreal's own public press materials, the EarthX 2026 post-event booklet, and independent web research, and reflects our own editorial judgment about the project's documentation quality.
